About

We're building the colleague we wanted to hire.

Unify ships AI teammates that pick up the phone, draft from your apps, and ship the artefact. We started in 2023, raised $8m from operators and funds we respect, and live on calls with the people who use the product.

01How we got here

The first version was a thing we wanted on Sundays.

Three of us spent late 2022 doing the same Sunday-evening dance: pulling MRR from Stripe, deal counts from HubSpot, drafting the digest in Notion, sending it to the team in Slack. Plus the same on Mondays for the board update. Plus the same again on Fridays for the recap.

Frontier chat models could draft the prose, but they couldn't reach into the apps, hold the team's preferences, or remember last week's numbers. We started building the runtime that could — a persistent reasoning loop sitting above the tool-caller, with typed memory and scoped workspace identity.

Today, Unify is what the version-one prototype always wanted to be: a teammate you hire on a call, not a tool you prompt in a textarea.

02How we build

Three bets that show up everywhere.

Show, don't prompt

Walk it through, like a person.

Onboarding a teammate looks like onboarding a person — get on a call, share your screen, walk through one workflow once. The teammate watches, asks, and picks it up. No 40-page prompt, no chain-of-thought debugging.

Their own machine

Real workspace identity.

Each teammate gets a real browser, real files, real inbox, real calendar — and a real workspace account that admins control like any other hire. Not a screen-scraper pretending to be a person.

Scope, not the keys

Hired, not handed admin.

Same access model your team already uses: admins set the scope, every action is audited, every integration is one-click revocable. A teammate gets exactly what their job description needs.

03Backed by

Operators and funds we wanted on our side.

We raised $8m from Y Combinator, Microsoft's M12, SignalFire, Samsung Next and a handful of operators-turned-investors who've actually run the workflows we're automating. The investor list is short and chosen.

Plus a long list of angel investors — founders behind Dropbox, Hugging Face, Neo4j, Weaviate — who've weighed in on product, hiring, and what to build next.

We're hiring across research, infra, and design.

London-based, hybrid, with a heavy bias toward people who've carried real product weight before. We don't keep a careers page — send a one-paragraph note about what you've shipped, and we'll reply same-day on weekdays.
